Today we went to Robben island. The place where Nelson Mandela spent for 18 years in prison, because he fought for equality, of white and coloured people. But especially for the coloured people, that they will be treated the same as the white people. First, we got a tour there by a real prisoner of the same time as Nelson Mandela. He showed how everything worked in prison. He told how the inequality was between the white and coloured people, also with examples such as the food, the rooms, and the working hours. It was quite strange to see that people may have been in a 1-by-1 box for perhaps 16 years or more. Quite weird, I really cannot imagine how this will be. Then we had to go into a bus, to see more of this beautiful and interesting island. In the bus there was a guide, who told about the history of this island. Then we went back by boat to Cape Town, we saw some dolphins, but couldn’t photograph them because they went so fast. Then we had free time, in the middle of Cape Town. To eat something, to buy some more souvenirs. And after this we had to meet up, that we could go home
